Just a quick note about some updates we’ve been making to the site. A number of exciting features are being worked on behind the scenes and you’ll soon begin to see slight modifications and additions to the site as we continue to move forward.

 

One new feature that recently went in was the inclusion of Google Maps into the company directory, school listings, and individual event announcements. Now it’s easier than ever to see exactly where something is located. Upgrades to this feature are forthcoming, so keep an eye out for those…

 

We’ve also added links to popular aggregate news sites such as Digg, Delicious, and Technorati within news and feature articles (look below). Now users of those sites can easily submit interesting things they find here on nycgameindustry.com and possibly get the word out about our scene to a much larger audience.

 

In addition to these, you may notice a few rearrangements being made to the layout and some additional information now available on the profiles page.

yea the maps definitely need either mouse-scroll zoom or a zoom bar overlay - I doubt many people will pick up on double left-click to zoom in and double right-click to zoom out
