Summary

Geoff Barone is a singer-songwriter and composer originally from the Western New York area. From starting on the keyboard, which he received on his birthday in 1987, Geoff has taught himself many others instruments to a high level of proficiency. “When I started writing music I wanted to know how the other instruments would play the parts.” This inspired Geoff to not only learn the instrument, but master them and find his own voice in each. “I think this is what sets my songs apart from others, in the sense that I know what the other musicians are doing and know how to play appropriately with them.”
Over the years Geoff has been influenced and inspired by many styles of music. “Andrew Lloyd Webber I think was the catalyst for me to start writing songs and music, but growing up in my family there was always music.” His Grandfather, a jazz pianist, his Father, a rock guitar player and songwriter, music was imbedded in his DNA and always present. Geoff spent his high school years becoming more serious about his art, primarily on guitar. He would spend countless hours on the edge of his bed and basement honing his craft.<br />

Geoff resides in New York,NY writing and recording himself and others in his home studio.
