I rolled up around the usual time and found the place to be a bit more busy than usual. It seems as though our drink night fell on the same date as Barcade's "Harpoon Night". With a beer board full of Harpoon beverages, there were plenty of choices for a variety of different palettes.
Around 7:00pm, familiar video game industry faces began to grace my presence. In addition to the regulars, there were a few new faces that I was happy to meet. The turn out this month was above average but believe me, we are not ones to complain. The more the merrier, right?
One particular point of the evening that I found noteworthy was that the crew over at Nocturnal Minds were had shown up and were demonstrating a prototype of their latest project. As you can tell from the pictures, people were excited to check it out and pick the brains of all the developers involved. Good times!
In my honest opinion, this had to be our best turnout ever. At one point the max headcount was 23 people. With such a such a great crowd, I couldn't resist the opportunity to grab a group shot of everyone who came out the Meet N' Drink. Outstanding!
As the evening came to a close and the bar started to thin out, the people remaining were hungry. So, what did we decide to do this week for food? Yup, you guessed it, San Loco! This place is the perfect compliment for NYCGI Meet n' Drinks due to two simple facts, they are open REALLY late and they are within walking distance from the bar! Oh I forgot to mention their food is FABULOUS! Seriously, if you haven't been you need to try them out (I say this every month, but it's true!).
And there you have it, another month, another successful Meet n' Drink. To all of you who were unable to make it last week, we look forward to seeing you next month!
Until then, stay tuned!!
