After a long hiatus, the IGDA Game Developers’ Meetup is starting again this month. Scheduled for every fourth Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 8 pm, this Meetup focuses on discussions regarding the artistic and technical work that goes into game development as well as the business aspect of creating games and running a game company.
The format is a presentation by guest speakers followed by a round table discussion on a specific topic in a small group setting.
Kicking off the first meeting for the year is a discussion on social network games with an emphasis on “Leveraging Facebook for Games”. This Meetup will be hosted by Arkadium at their studio on Broadway and 21st Street.
The discussions will be followed by drinks at a local bar for networking and socializing. More details to follow. Please RSVP as space is limited. http://www.meetup.com/igda-nyc/
The Meetup is also looking for individuals that would be interested in helping organize these monthly events. If you are interested, please contact the Meetup organizers directly.
