Mark your calendars everybody... the next IGDA NYC Demo Night is happening in four weeks. That's right, on Monday, March 29th Demo Night returns!
Keep in mind that the presentations at IGDA NYC Demo Night are NOT marketing pitches. These are real game developers giving fellow developers a peek behind the curtain at development issues and various design decisions they faced during production. In other words, it's an opportunity to learn from someone else's mistakes. We believe this is why Demo Night has always been the chapter's most popular event.
The organizers have got some great presentations lined up, but there's still room for more. If you're interested in presenting a recently released game or a work in progress please contact Wade Tinney (wade [at] largeanimal.com) with details.
Additional information, including the presenter list and venue information, to come. Stay tuned!

Hey there, more info on this event will be posted soon. It's also going to be open to the public... no tickets necessary. :-)
I'm checking linkedIn as well for updates, I will post here if we find out any details.
Side Note: Nice site Katianie, I am trying to get one started myself. Don't have much game programming material to start off unfortunately. Have they been teaching you any game programming at school? I went to SUNY Albany and the only thing that was relevant was an A.I. course. Otherwise it was massive amount command line programs :(
IGDA NYC Demo Night
Where: Wollman Hall at the New School University
65 West 11th Street, 5th Floor (enter at 66 West 12th Street)
in Manhattan
When: Monday, March 29th, 6:30-8:30 pm
As a warm up to a fantastic set of game demos from local developers, we'll first hear from Kristy Sundjaja from the NYC Economic Development Corporation (http://www.nycedc.com) with an overview of city programs that may be applicable to game developers like us. The entrepreneurs and business owners among you will not want to miss this.
Then, our stellar line-up of game presenters includes:
* Eric Zimmerman and Nathalie Pozzi
* Austin Lane, Muse Games
* Dave Gilbert, Wadjeteye Games
* Nikita Mikros, Tiny Mantis
* Jason Schreiber, Powerhead Games
This is a rare opportunity to get behind-the-scenes insight from veteran game developers, to find out more about economic growth programs in New York City, AND to eat free pizza. Don't miss it! Space is limited (and so is the pizza), so get there by 6:30 to ensure that you get a seat (and a slice.)
