Hey everyone, I just thought you'd be interested in a competition we're holding at Blastwave FX. To enter, just register on our site, and make a 30-45 second video clip that answers the question, "What role do sound effects play in picture?"

We give you a clip that you must include in your entry, but after that, the footage can be whatever you'd like--just design sound for it! We also posted this at machinima.com, indiegamer, and gamedev so we definitely think some game footage would make for some awesome entries.

When you register, you'll automatically be able to download 45 free, high-def sound effects to use in your games whatever else strikes your fancy. Also, just by registering, you're entered to win an $1800 basic post-production package. The grand prize is a Turnkey Post System that comes with Avid Media Composer 4, Mbox 2 & Pro Tools LE, our Sonopedia HD sound effects library, the Sound Effects Bble book by Ric Viers, and DV Toolkit 2 for Pro Tools LE.
