Are "interactive rock space operas" the hot new genre for NYC's gaming talent? Bangolia's Chris Peterson talks about the recent audio treatment they provided for Dark Star, the upcoming videogame / movie from Parallax, including mixing some sounds you wouldn't expect from your standard space romp.

Peterson notes that outer space is one setting that's already well-saturated with familiar audio, so how does one inject originality into the mix? Answer: by combining hawks, metal and Indy cars. Incidentally, these three things would also make for a truly awesome alien lifeform, so in that sense, splicing them all together seems only natural. Genius.
